Dear Howard,
Some time ago you were asking about tablature sources where the
tablature is like Luis Milan's, i.e. Italian tablature upside down. I
notice that there is some music added to one of Denss's books,
For those still interested in using lilypond.
I had to prepare some lyra viol scores, and thus improved a bit on tablature,
both for lyra and lute. Here are two examples, one with visible time heads (a
bit of Jenkins Air) and without them (Dowland).

I doubt many people here would be able to navigate the Russian interface of

The verdict: visually execrable.

Alexander,
Thanks for your latest ly files! Unfortunately, generosity always has an
unexpected price ...
I downloaded your *.ly files, ran convert-ly to bring your files in sync
with my lilypond version, ran lilypond and obtained nothing but these
error messages.
[prompt]lilypond Solus.ly
I understand there are many issues with convert-ly for 2.12.2. Further, i am
not certain you need to use it? Did you try just to run my version in 2.12.2?
Otherwise, in the past convert-ly versions i had to examine the produced file,
often to find a broken chain (for example d 8 instead of d8).
I should have mentioned that I first ran lilypond without doing the
conversion to 2.12.2; I got the same error message.
Meanwhile, I also checked for broken chains, but to no avail.
Peter.
