Thanks for the answer, guys! I've seen the finger-tapping style
performed on standard electric guitars, but I didn't know an instrument
had been developed just for that technique. "The Stick": really sounds
more like percussion or idiophone.

Don't ask me what _i_ would call it but the maker calls it
a Chapman Stick (http://www.stick.com/). Has been arround for
quite some time
