We went to see Rango yesterday. The film features a Greek chorus in the form of a Mariachi band made up of four owls with Mexican accents. At one point Rango and the townspeople of Dirt attempt to get close to the bad guys by putting on a "thespian performance". The owl guitarist (who also plays banjo in The Flight of the Valykyries) briefly switches to lute and the band plays a snippet of Sellinger's Round.
It went by so fast I thought I might have imagined it, but Ekko saw it too. Many jokes over the head of children.
