And what a pleasure for those of us in the San Francisco Bay Area to meet our friend Ed Durbrow in person. He brought with him a fine little 8 course lute (who was the luthier?) that is going to gut; and he has composed two beautiful settings of poems by Shakespeare; I forget where they are from, was one from "A Winter's Tale"? It was as evocatively chilling as some things from Schubert's "Winterreise". It would be wonderful if he could make these available.
