Hello, I own a vihuela made by Luciano Faria in 2006. Unfortunately, its back and sides are made from Brazilian Rosewood, and the previous owner had lost the accompanying documentation, and I was not aware of CITES regulations at the time I bought it. To obtain a new CITES Musical Instrument Certificate I need some documentary proof of the legal origin of Brazilian Rosewood used in the making of this vihuela. Contacting Luciano Faria personally seems to be impossible. As some of you may know, he went out of business a few years ago, and I could not find any points of contact with him. I thought, maybe some of you own other instruments made by Luciano Faria with Brazilian Rosewood, and still have the corresponding CITES documentation. Even if it is a completely different instrument - a lute or a guitar - these documents might still help me to persuade the authorities that Mr. Faria was indeed using legally obtained Brazilian Rosewood for his instruments. I would be very grateful if you could send me the copies of these documents or offer any advice on how to get a new CITES certificate in this situation. -- Dmitry Medvedev
