The narrator is a dwarf although you don't realize this until near the end
of the book (which I read in Spanish so I may have missed some subtle pointers
- there are passing references to his size). Atto Melani is a castrato - who
was it that played Farinelli? Maybe he is looking for anot
Please not Depardieu again as a musician - his Marais was ridiculous
(although I *love* the movie!)
