Stan Beutens was one of the founding members of the Lute Society of
America who recently passed away a few years ago from age and
complications of diabetes. He, along with Diana Poulton, Donna Curry,
Suzanne Bloch, Doug Smith, and others were responsible for resurgence
of interest in the lute in the 20th century, first in England and then
in the US. I am forwarding this in case some of you are interested in
   some of the early recordings.
Stan's son, Ray, is continuing his fathers publishing business here in
California and has some classic and unique publications.
