Dear Stewart,
That's what I thought too but I wonder about the parallel octave going into
m. 7. Usually Borono is more careful about this sort of thing.

  Dear Jason,

I have been reading through some old Lute Net messages from August,
and cannot find a reply to your query about Phalèse. In case you
never got an answer, bars 5-7 are as follows:

|\ |\ |\ |\ |\ |\
|\ | |\ | |\ |
| | | | | |
_c__________a_____________i___h_______i__h___
_________b____|_d___________|_a_______f____|_
______________|_f___d_f_g___|_______f____f_|_
_a____________|___f_____h___|___f_h___h__f_|_
_____a_c_d____|_____________|_h____________|_
___d__________|_____________|______________|_

Best wishes,

Stewart McCoy.

Musarum 1552 ? I am unable to read my bars 6-7 of # 12 (Fantasia
Pauli Baroni, f. 12). I know this was reprinted in several different
editions, but I don't have access to this or the original.
