I use a good quality tape bought from the local stationery's. Black for ebony fingerboards (Toile Mille Rubafix) and a darkish beige Tesa AG) for plum. I'm sure that there are lots of other brands available locally which are just as good. The thing is to have a non-slippery finely grained cloth
