I naively replied to the enquiry looking for a private teacher that appeared on the lutenet yesterday. Since I have taught lute a little using the web, I thought it might be an opportunity to pick up another student. Glancing over the 56 names in the address field, my eye caught many familiar names to the lutenet so I assumed it was a legitimate enquiry about lute lessons. However the response I got today makes me realize that our phishing buddies have expanded into the lucrative market of early music! :-)
