Piccinini essentially gives the same instructions as Kapsberger does in his Book 3 (3, 4, 5, & 6 note chords) but always ends on the highest note even if the arpeggio is not strictly ascending..
But he also has a sign for a different arpeggio pattern. For a 4 note arpeggio pattern he puts the number 4 above a quarter note. In this situation this: ------------ ----------- --0------- ------------ --2-------- --3--------- is to be played: -------------- ------------- --0---------- --------------- -----2----2--- -------3------- the result is that the arpeggio ends on a lower note Goodnight..
