Piccinini essentially gives the same instructions as Kapsberger does in his Book 3 (3, 4, 5, & 6 note chords) but always ends on the highest note even if the arpeggio is not strictly ascending..
But he also has a sign for a different arpeggio pattern. For a 4 note arpeggio pattern he puts the number 4 above a quarter note.
