Dear friends, Is it a good idea to mix plucked and strummed styles when accompanying a singer on the Baroque guitar? I recently recorded Caccini's Amarilli mia bella and decided for a change of timbre to use the Baroque guitar. When working out a realization, I found myself constantly wavering

Dear Craig and List You can check Nina Threadwell's dissertation "The chitarra spagnola and Italian monody", I think she claims that Italian monody guitar accompaniment is all in Alfabeto tablature and the way to play it is using both strumming and arpeggio. Best wishes, Eloy on 21/3/04 9:23
