Is it a good idea to mix plucked and strummed styles when accompanying a
singer on the Baroque guitar? I recently recorded Caccini's Amarilli mia
bella and decided for a change of timbre to use the Baroque guitar. When

You can check Nina Threadwell's dissertation "The chitarra spagnola and
Italian monody", I think she claims that Italian monody guitar accompaniment
is all in Alfabeto tablature and the way to play it is using both strumming
and arpeggio.
