therefore want everything to be secure and working as one piece.

In this case it's probably best to file a bug, so we have a place to
keep the needed logfiles etc. If possible, do so using
apport-bug, and mark it as affecting both xfce4 and dpkg and lxc.
For starts please add at least the (sanitized if needed)
/var/log/apt/term.log.
