environment, we could submit to Google Summer of Code? I can coordinate such
submission, but is that a good idea? If yes, I guess a TODO list exists or we

Another quick update on the plugin:
I'm slowly reworking the logic to get the plugin up without slowing
down the panel.
In the process I'm also trying to incorporate fixes suggested by
Daniele and Globe Trotter.
