Hello,
I started a wiki page to discuss about lxsession redesign.
https://github.com/lxde/lxsession/wiki/Proposals-about-the-session-manager
The items listed in the page are just my own opinion without concensus.
No code has been written for it so far.
It's better to have some discussions before w

I did some stuff with strace, and I'm certain that it gets the theme
information from lxsession.

Likely related to which .gtkrc file is being used. I think some DEs
force-load specific gtkrc files which might be what you want.

I've built everything have have it running now. Most things look good, but
I still use a handful of GTK apps and, for the life of me, I can't get them
to use the proper theme. If I just start up openbox without a full desktop
environment, things are great and the theme can be set. This leads me
Hello,
I recently did some gcc visibility-related stuff to most of the libraries
we have.
With this, we can avoid exporting unnecessary dynamic symbols.
Take liblxqt for example, after using the gcc visibility trick, number of
the exported symbols decreased by 50% (about 1000).
This not only make t
I saw the repo yes. It's nice to have but long-term I don't think
compton will serve us much. Not many people use a separate compositor,
and eventually we'll move to wayland.

It seems to work for me. I'm running on ubuntu 12.04, which has an older
libconfig version, and had to make a minor modification to make it build.
The patch is attached. The solution is probably to move forward, but I do
not know what your long-term goals are. The most recent ubuntu LTS and

Okay. I've been making some experiments, two sketches. Still using the LXDE
logo in one of them, and completely modified on the second one.

I did notice one other difference:
The GNOME HIG's definition of title case says to lowercase prepositions
with three or fewer letters while the KDE HIG says four or fewer ("less
than five").
(so words like "with" and "into" would be capitalized in GNOME but not KDE)
