I think needed doing release PCManFM. Porting on QT 5 is not good idea.
GTK3 for project i think good and main goal.

My icon set is well in pcmanfm, but not displayed. If I choose an
Qt5 Builds for openSUSE and fedora will be a bit delayed.I am in the
process of moving, so it will be a week or two, unless somebody else wants to
jump in on it.
