I just tried to fix this last night. Now the lxqt-qtplugin and lxqt-common components are updated. The problem is caused by the lack of a default value of icon theme name and Qt5 behaves differently from Qt 4.8. Calling some private "internal" APIs of Qt5 is required to update the icon theme.
