A wallpaper slideshow was already proposed in https://github.com/lxde/lxqt/issues/608. As for the footprint it's probably safe to say that you'll hardly find a desktop environment needing much less resources these days. ---

Mark, I use lxqt for my Arch install on my laptop and really like the look and feel. While I do run Arch on my Raspberry Pi 3, I do not use a DE for it. If you are planning to use the Raspberry Pi mainly to serve Kodi, then Kodi has it's own theme that is outside of the realm of most DEs. I use Ub
