may i have an example of your goals? If i understand you, you want to select an item for download, bypass all protections in between, and find that item on your desktop. speaking personally, I can think of many reasons why that extra step as it is, is more helpful than a problem. let's say

Downloading to a temporary file is how lynx has always done downloads. I don't know if there's a way to bypass that or not, but if that's truly what you want, why not use wget or curl? That's exactly what they were made for. You can even add them to the lynx.cfg file as support programs (I

I am using lynx to download a file. Currently i need to go to line containing file url and type 'D' to download file but this will download file in temporary buffer and then ask to enter Save to disk option. I want to disable this and want lynx to direcyly download file with proper extension
