Read miyata's mail and do not know his mail address. I have seen the Jananese lyx patch page and think it is the good solution. Have not tried Yu-Chung Wang's patch but I remember I have seen some web page showing the screenshot of a Chinese lyx working when the lyx was in the 0.10.7 stage.

Hi, once we are exchanging good ideas, look at the package mathptm. It does everything (including most of math) in Times Roman. Why isn't this selectable from LyX? So if your publisher forces you to use Times, this is the way to get harmonizing math fonts. (The Companion mentions mathtime

I have a report that egcs 1.1.? on OS/2 cannot compile lyxfunc.C of 1.0.0 with optimization (-O2) on. I don't have egcs installed and do not know if later versions can be compiled with the switch. Regards, SMiyata
