--with-included-boost didn't work -- tried it before writing to the list
the first time. I'd bet it's the automake: the manual on gnu.org (for AM
1.7.5) includes the conditional construction which doesn't work for me.
I'll ask the sysop to install the new version.

verbatim docs for details). That's why comment should be implemented as
collapsable.
