Dear all,
The winlyx 1.4.2 installer does not install ui\windefault and wintoolbars. Lyx
complained about not finding this files and couldn't start. Copying them from
1.4.1 installation ui\ directory solved the problem.

Better yet after finishing the thesis. :-)
Now the thesis is in the press. Meanwhile it broke and they are expecting a
guy to fix it. Mu
Please test. It works for me.
The program is now a little bit hard to follow (i am so used to
string/vector etc) but it works under winxp/msvc. I just applied it.
Thanks.

Why not leave that in start()? With that change I think it can go in.
Done.

Seems to work for me in the sense that there is only a small blinking
visible, if at all. The advantage would be that the user can can change
Lyx.bat easily.
This is also a good idea but does not work now since I have removed
the console-hiding code from os_win32.C. Using your trick will result
Many thanks, it works perfectly. If possible please add this to the
1.4.x tree and to trunk.
I am adding this to the trunk, and I will have to ask JMarc for
putting this to 1.4.x (after he gets back from vacation).
Cheers,
Bo

Hi all,
I intend to work on lyx2lyx soon and continue its evolution. I have
some
crazy ideas about what to do, but for the moment I want to start with
something simple.
I will move the functions used from parser_tools.py to the
corresponding
files. This will allow us to avoid
Hi,
a quite primitive work around is to insert /MIN in the Lyx.bat file,
which would read now
SET LC_ALL=en_EN
SET AIK_DATA_DIR=C:\Program Files\LyX14\aiksaurus
start "LyX" /MIN "C:\Program Files\LyX14\bin\lyx.exe" %*
Seems to work for me in the sense that there is only a small blinking
