I run Ubuntu 10.10 with texlive 2009
Open splash.lyx
Set "Use non-tex fonts"
Leave everything else as default
Under the View menu I got:
DVI
not working, hangs LyX
DVI (LuaTeX)
not working, \RequireXeTeX error, font mapping not loadable errors
OpenDocument
not working, hangs LyX
PDF (dvipdfm)
Once we are in the preview script, what's a good way to identify that we
use the pdflatex route?
I have put if "pdf" in latex
I'm not convinced that's bulletproof.

You cannot have two modules which both redefine the output format. This
is a stupid patch. Something more clever might be done in the c++ code.

Dear list,
Here's a patch which fix the inclusion of child documents for those
child documents which have outputtype!=latex, e.g. docs which include
the lilypond or sweave module and require a preprocessing step.
this problem was reported here:
http://www.mail-archive.com/lyx-users@lists.lyx.
In case you guys are interested in reading through the whole, long
discussion on the gsoc channel, the complete log should eventually
made its way to this page:
http://ibot.rikers.org/%23gsoc/
Right now the list stops at yesterday's log, so I guess it's updated once a day.
Cheers,
S.

Hi Stefano,
Thanks for looking into that. I am glad to know that it wasn't the application

back to my earlier email. I think it would be worthwhile to conduct some LyX
marketing and promotion.

It'd be an easy way to communicate that a nice document -that gets you
looking into its properties- was made with LyX.

Thank you to both Pavel and Stefano for ollowing up with Google about why the

It's the first time I have a talk in a public conference, I hope I won't freeze
or make people sleep too much. :)
