The following command downloads a complex document and tries to compile
it:
git clone 'https://github.com/ahmed-rashed/ThesisTemplate' && cd
ThesisTemplate && lyx -e pdf2 Thesis.lyx
It compiles with 2.3.x but not with master.
The document is quite complex and contains a lot of ERT and Arabic.

Hello,
I found by accident that if lyx fails to create a cache dir then the warning
is only sent to stdout.
I was surprised because lyx would not start, I only found the issue after
running lyx from the command line:
"Could not create cache directory `...'."
