I'm not sure what you mean.
When you get the muose pointer over, say, the note button, the instant yellow
message could be, rather than just Insert note something like Insert note
(Ctrl +, N).This would help getting friendly with the keyboard and learning
shortcuts (I still din't learn more

So go ahead and add this to our bugtracker, Piero, once it's up again.
It shouldn't be very hard to do this.
Do you mean: the requested feature or the bug posting? Don't underevaluate my
laziness.Out of joke, I'll try to use it.

Wouldn't be nice to be informed of a shortcut combination when passing the
cursor on a button, along with the purpose/name of that button? (this is for
all those I-Want-To-Keep-My-Hands-On-Keyboard LaTeX users)

Hello,
Ok, I know I'm a LyX addicted, but I',m puzzled about the Windows installer of
version 1.6.2 which is not available. The Windows wiki points to both bundled
and simple installers, but it's dead links. The Download page report 1.6.1 and
nothing more. Does 1.6.2 installer exist?
thanks

Yes, but it does only contain the ALTinstaller, I wonder about the Official one

There is often discussion (or a feature request) on one of the mailing
lists of how to share a LyX document with other users (LyX or non-LyX).
for those who don't know it, there's a discussion on this topic on

These are minor feature requests, but I post them here because I think are very
easy to implement in next LyX realase.
1. the citation box should allow to choose, next to the citation styles,
some just show the bibtex key on/off button for all those who want to see
their bibtex key, which -
I wonder if it would be difficoult to implement this simple feature:
As LyX know how to call Lilypond (just select Insert - File - External material
- Lilypond) for an external .ly file, it could just send Lilypond a temporary
.ly file created on-the-fly by copying the content of a in-line
