Hi,

I am using the lyx package in the Debian distribution, and I recently
upgraded from one of the 1.1.4 versions, to 1.1.5fix2. (Does anyone
know where the old 1.1.4 versions are archived? I want to back off.)

I use a black background. This is because I have to get very close to
the monitor due to my eyesight problem, and a bright background is
tiring. Other people use black backgrounds because of their displays
etc.

In LyX 1.1.5fix2, the cursor is ALWAYS black, even if the background
is black. This makes the cursor invisible. (It was OK in 1.1.4 - why
was it changed?)

In LyX 1.1.4, the colours could be configured using X resources
(e.g. below).  In 1.1.5fix2, these resources are no longer honoured;
although \set_color in lyxrc replaces some of them, not all of them
are customisable anymore.

In .Xresources I use :

          *LyX.BackgroundColor: black
           *LyX.SelectionColor: blue
                 *LyX.LightedColor: darkblue
                        *LyX.NoteColor: yellow
                   *LyX.LatexColor: cyan
           *LyX.OnOffLineColor: yellow
                 *LyX.NewLineColor: red
                        *LyX.FillColor: red
                   *LyX.LabelColor: yellow
                        *LyX.FootColor: yellow
           *LyX.MathFrameColor: red
                        *LyX.MathColor: green
                          *LyX.Reverse: 1

In lyxrc I use (and this is not adequate) :

\set_color background black
\set_color foreground white
\set_color latex cyan
\set_color math green
\set_color mathline green
\set_color mathbg black
\set_color mathframe red
\set_color mathcursor white
\set_color selection blue

Can anyone help?

Many thanks, Silas
