lyx 1.3.2: xpm files

Why can some xpm files like /usr/share/lyx/images/depth-increment.xpm or /usr/share/lyx/images/math/sqrt.xpm be seen in LyX AND xdvi/gv/acroread and other like /usr/share/lyx/images/font-noun.xpm or /usr/share/lyx/images/math/blacktriangle.xpm ONLY in LyX? -- Regards, Hartmut Hungerhilfe: htt
