In my last mail I described a feature in LyX 1.0.0 mathpanel, but now I and my colleagues found another feature the new LyX. If you specify the column width in a normal column this column width is also automatically copied to all columns above and below it unfortunately including the multicolumn starting from this column. And you definitely don't want the multicolumn cell to be as narrow as a normal column. Or is it possible to define table cells with negative width in latex ? Propably not. As version 0.12 behaved more logically in this respect many tables written before look strange after upgrading to the new LyX. Fortunately there is a way around it: you must specify manually the width of the multicolumn cell but you cannot leave the field empty or the normal column width is copied back again. Anyway, if I did not explain the feature well enoug, I've included an example table in this message.
