I'll try.
Here is another (in my opinion) crucial feature that is missing :
I use a home-made adapted book.layout (at home lyx version 0.12).
I also use LyX at home and at work

M-m s in math mode gives a _s_quare root, M-m r an n-th root.
Unfortunately, there's no clickable button associated with it.

Is there a way to not print a page number on the first page without
having to use \thispagestyle{empty} _after_ the call to \maketitle?
I ask this because I use LyX, and if I can get some code I can put it in
the default preamble, and not have to put it after every title in every
document.

apparently the kmail's filter accepts hand writtent input in the first

Hm,
I didn't test it but maybe a \mbox{} could help. So put a
\mbox{CALDAG-GEF1} in the respective title and mark "\mbox{" and "}" as
TeX.
Hope this helps!

I am new on this mailinglist and I use quite intensively lyx1.0.1 (the
debian-stable version) (hm, this sounds like a disclaimer for stupid
questions :-) ).
I have some small and less small requests :
a) (how) is it possible to draw a nth-square root ? It should look like

Hi!
Is there a possibility to set a longtable to left paragraph alignment.
The layout > paragraph > left alignment option does not working for me
in dvi. In the LyX view of the longtable has the left alignment. Normal
tables are ok!
I'm using lyx 1.0.3.
Thank you.
