I am a new user to lyx and I am enjoying it's elegant complexity quite a
lot. I have one problem, however, that maybe another (longtime) user
has been able to solve. When I try to insert an 'xfig.eps' figure I get
this message when I press OK, apply, or cancel in the Figure window.

a great tool lyx is. For ages, I put off using Linux and TeX because of
the lack of a front end which didn't leave you engulfed in tagged text.

After running configure and compiling Lyx, when I try to run it it says:
