Hello all! For a while I've been trying to figure out how to format the chapter titles the way I want them in a book am writing, but I can't get it right at all. I have taken a look at http://www.lyx.org/help/layouts/chapter.php several times and it doesn't help me at all *use the koma class*

Thanks to everyone for your suggestions. In the end, I think the problem is due to a combination of all the factors cited. From now on I will simply be aware of how dramatic simple formatting changes can be in terms of page count, and adjust accordingly. Thanks very much, everyone.

Hi, another question! :) I have some figures with captions with citations. I naturally don't want that the citations show up in the List of Figures. I found out that the correct Latex way would be to put something like: \caption[Spielfeld]{Spielfeld \cite[S. 17]{robosoccer} in ERT, but where
