Hi,
I notice that the tgz (~5pm, 1/14) file for 1.1.6fix4 is more
recent than the srpm (9:48am, 1/14). Does that mean that the srpm version
has some bugs that were fixed in the tgz version?
Thanks in advance.

I'm mostly having great success in importing and exporting file formats to
and from LyX. tth for instance creates beautiful html files. The wv
utilities do a great job if importing or converting word files and freeing
myself from ever having used such a thing.

would it be sensible to use lyx for editing and maintaining a website?
That is defining the structure of the site, which is in this regard like a
book, in a latex.cls and then convert

I just started using Lyx and now I'm trying to see if I can
redo my resume in Lyx.
I receive the following error msg when trying to open the cv.lyx
example.
Textclass error - The document uses an unknown textclass "cv". Lyx will
not be able to produce output correctly.

Well I have read the user's guide and tutorial about writing letters
(using the "letter" class). (This is LyX 1.1.6fix1.)

How can I add my name and title below the "Closing"? (Or do I just do it
manually with the "Standard" environme

Hi,
let me add my part to the list of unsuccessfull upgrades to lyx
1.1.6fix4 (would not it be wise policy to stick with RedHat on
the level of up2date -p, so that I would not have to go to
rawhide, just to install binary packages).
When trying to upgrade, I have got failed dependency on

tetex is a particular implementation of LaTeX.

My problem with getting some jpg images in my report exported to pdf is
the image size. Can someone tell me how a 300x512 sized image can appear
as 1.000x1.707 inches in both GIMP and LyX? I don't get it, the size in
inches can't be, and in fact is _not_ the real 300x512 size.
All this is just so

If LyX is based on LaTeX, as the documentation says, how come the LyX
FreeBSD port installed teTeX as a dependancy?
1. For my chapters I selected `Chapter*' so that the word "Chapter"
doesn't enter my report. Is it because of the `Chapter*' and not `Chapter'
that the TOC won't even appear?
2. And what about the TOC's "Contents" and the Bibliography's
"References"? My report is not in English!, is there any way

Try exporting to latex, and then run 'latex file.tex'.
What is the result ?

Dear All,
I am in trouble translating the UsersGuide.
When I try to change the Font encoding to Latin-2 (8859-2)
to have the hungarian accents. Latex shows errors!
(esp. in chapter 4 )
I dont understand the errors. Why are they there?
Could Somebody help me?
