I use double-spaced documents, with the preamble
modification Herbert has posted on his website
( http://www.lyx.org/help/space/space.php#quote )
to produce single-spaced quote, quotation, and verse
environments.
This gives me *almost* exactly what I want; the only thing
I want to do is make t

Hi. Lyx is great, but I've run into a glich with my latest install.
Running Linux-Mandrake 8.1 (RedHat 7.0), tetex version 1.0.1-3mdk.
I installed Lyx version 1.1.6fix3 and found that large parts of my math
expressions (built in 1.1.4) where not being displayed. Worse, there was
no Math Menu

Thanks Gerhard!
I checked that web page, and yes, it's great!
I'm now downloading SuSE distribution...

Thanks Miyata-san.
I tried to find M.K's patch from google, but his web site seems to be
closed. Do you know where can I get his patch to LyX 1.0.3?
I'm running RH 6.2ja, and added locale data for ja_JP.eucJP from
the distribution of RH 7.2ja (ftp version).

Hi,
I'm using CJK-LyX with Japanese on SuSE. It works fine. There are rpm
for everything necessary (CJK-LyX, fonts, input ...) available for SuSE.
On Mike Fabian's (maintainer of the CJK-version of SuSE) homepage there
is plenty of information about every aspect of installation and

Hello all,
Something very strange happened to me today. I turned in the final copy
of my school project, including the source code listing it was about 500
pages.
Before turning it in, I verified that the pages on the ToC were correct.
To my surprise some were wrong by one page. This was afte

I agree - and that is what my template file has.

When using the `book' layout in Lyx, Lyx assumes that you want facing pages.
This means that at the start of each new chapter, you get a blank page so
that the new chapter starts on the right hand page. I have written my thesis
using Lyx with the document layout `book', but require single pages. D

Sorry I do not feel like helping you. But here are some hints.
First check your libc supports locale properly.
$ man wctomb
Then check environment variables LANG, LC_CTYPE, LC_ALL.
If the support of locale in your libc is only partial, t
The \pagenumbering command resets the page counter. If you want a few
unnumbered pages you can use:
\pagenumbering{gobble}
and
\pagenumbering{arabic} (or roman, or whatever) where you want the
numbering to begin.

Hi
I had a similar problem. When I used latex2html a bunch of errors avoid
me from producing the .html file.
I simple used the export command from lyx and it worked ok ... I think
there are some flags to the latex2html program that I wasn't using but
the export from lyx did.
Hope this helps

I am using LyX on RH6.1J for some time with a great satisfaction. I want to
install the Japanese version (CJKLyX?) but RH does not have local
tex-command. Any help appreciated.
