Not really. For any class you want on LyX's list, you need a layout
file (so LyX knows how to render things on screen). LyX automatically

Changing LyX Preferences:File Formats:Viewer to open from gv for PDF
and Postscript worked. Thank you!
I also loaded ghostview for X11 and the prerequisites, and that gave me
a preview in X11. Cool!.
