This menu item *does* toggles the status of the math toolbar, however
I think I read somewhere that the math *panel* of LyX 1.4 had been
superseded by some kind of secondary (advanced) math toolbar.
The math toolbar that is activated for me looks dissimilar to the one
as pictured at the url

Do you have any idea, why pdfviewwin.exe can't access the previewfile?

I have been using Lyx for quite a time. Today I installed Lyx 1.5.1 and for the
first time the installer was able to download aspell dictionary for english. In
all my earlier attempts it had failed and I never was able to use spellchecker.
I had tried many things but in vain.
This time I thought
Ah. I've just found (again!) the LyX Bug Tracker. Sorry for that portion of my
message; I'm quite blind sometimes.

Just another observation about the find dialogue

to find the word "version", I might just search for "ver", and then when that

This happens when configure.py was not successful. There was once a bug in MiKTeX that caused this
but as you have the latest MiKTeX 2.6 installed, this can't be the reason.

Hi,
I seem to be having a bit of trouble with the Math toolbar in the new

I can only utilise the basic toolbar (with delimiters, etc.), which I

So, as far as I can tell, the basic trade-off between Qt 4.2.3
and Qt 4.3.0 is visualizing onscreen italic fonts correctly,
versus ability to copy to Word.
By "Word" I assume you mean some external application, right? Or
is it really Word in particular? (What about Text Edit, or Mail
