Hi all,
I'm using Lyx 1.5.0 on Windows and I have encountered a problem: I'm
using 1.5-line space (Zeilenabstand). For some reason, when I changed
the font size of a math formular to "very small" so that it fits the
line, my text above it suddenly changed its linespace to 1.0 but without

LyX 1.5.7 is not released yet. The fix I'm talking about has been put in
yesterday, right after your report.

Enter "sort&compress" to Document->Settings->Class Options.

Hello,
I've got a problem regarding inserting graphics into my thesis.
I already inserted one .png graphic (a scan converted into a 450x443 png), and
it shows up nicely in my pdf document in a suitable size (some 5x5cm) without
scaling in lyx. I don't really know how the word is called in Engli

Do not use utf8 as encoding. Use the language's default encoding.
Then LyX

hi, I'm a newbie.
I guess the natbib package is the best for my purposes, but I'd like
to sort and compress my references, i.e. (1-4) instead of (1,2,3,4)
How can I do that?
Moreover, how can I edi the entire preamble?
thanks
Dan
Solved... MikTeX -> Settings -> Update format.

I'm having a really bad problem with RC3 under Vista. I opened a new
document, typed a couple of words, tried to generate the PDF (no
matter what document class/layout I'm using) and the following
messages are presented:

BTW of course it should also work with the encoding utf8. This is a bug I have
just fixed for 1.5.7 and 1.6.0.

Hi.
I was an estimator of the sendtolyx script of bibdesk, but it has been
stopped functioning from the two last versions.
I really don't wat was going on, but the worst feature was that
citations were inserted in a random order, i.e. [3,1,9] and I did not
