However, after converting it to pdf on the publishers side it
occasionally disappears. Now I wanted to replace it with a normal space.

Seems to be that line-break penalty for a citation (\cite{}) in Lyx is 0.
This might be a Lyx glitch, because Latex package cite has a much higher
penalty.
Found a workaround for the problem: Put \linebreak[3] as Tex-Code before
citation of reference.

I myself edit this document from different computers. I would like to know
if it is possible to tell Lyx that I am the same author no matter what
computer I am using, so my changes will be the same color.
