I see in the WHATSNEW for LyX 1.0.2 that it supports a 'broadway' text
class. The broadway.layout is there, but configure doesn't find
something it needs:

I have done some work at setting up custom layouts, but unfortunately I've

A couple of observations about double spacing, and a question:
(1) When I use the Article style and select double spacing for the
document, the body of the text and the bibliography are in fact double
spaced in the printed document, but the footnotes remain single spaced.
