-2.so.3 is more problematic. Apparently RH7.3 installs newer versions that lyx 1.2.1 isn't happy with AND installing the older version isn't permitted because it conflicts with the newer version. HAS ANYONE GOTTEN LYX TO WORK ON RH 7.3? Please help. TIA - Carole On Friday 25 Octo

I've just upgraded to RH 7.3. I found three RPMS that seem nearly appropriate: A) lyx-1.2.0-3.i386.rpm B) lyx-1.2.1-1.i386.rpm C) lyx-1.2.1-1rh8-xforms089.i386.rpm With each I get dependency errors - A) [root@Lyx_Install]# rpm -Uvh --test lyx-1.2.0-3.i386.rpm error: failed dependencies:

Missing textclass files for examples

When I start up the examples: "Foils.lyx", "Literate.lyx", "aa.lyx", on start up I get the Alert: "The document uses an unknown textclass "foils" ["literate-article", "aa"] Lyx will not be able to produce output correctly." Is something missing from my setup? The only "foil*" file I have found

On my SuSE 8.0 system, I want to upgrade my Lyx version (currently 1.1.6fix4) - however when I run "rpm -Uvh --test lyx-1.2.1-1.i386.rpm" I get failed dependencies "tetex-dvips" and "tetex-latex." I tried installing the rpms from tetex but I must have gotten the wrong versions. My current versio
