Have you tried the new Windows port from:
http://www.home.zonnet.nl/rareitsma/lyx/
This works without an XServer and Cygwin,...
You only need MikTeX

could have made myself clearer :-)
What I ment was that long citations
are not wrapped and that it looks
pretty ugly within my paper.
I am using the standard citation
features of Lyx.
