Hi,
I am trying to find why things work in Miktex (windows) but refuse to
work in tetex (Linux, Slackware 10.2).
I get an error in Linux:
LaTeX Error: Command \see already defined.
LaTeX Error: Command \printindex already defined.
I have noticed that when I export to a latex file and comment
I just found out on miktex the normal sequence (latex, makeindex, latex,
latex) also works when \usepackage{makeidx} is removed. Thus; does lyx
add a package too much when using the memoir class? The memoir class
menual also states NOT to use {makeidx}.

Hi,
Has anyone noticed that when using memoir class in 1.4.1 (I understood from a

I am running 1.4.1 on a stock slackware 10.2 system with tetex 3.0.

Paul,
I have had a similar error on a mandrake 2005 system, though with
ps2pdf. It turned out to be a problem with graphics and the ghostscript
version. After I installed mandrake rpm ghostscript-8.15-16mdk.i586.rpm
instead of 8.15-22 the problem was gone.
Hope this gives you some pointers,
