I tried to get in the bug tracking as I usually do with many other
applications but Lyx BTS looks hopeless. No registration link.
Even the IRC is so silent, people hanging there do not answer.
What's the normal/usual scenario of interaction with users of LyX?

While deliberation on email lists are very helpful that just will not
work for software development, not even in closed shops, but most
certainly not in Open Source projects and large ones such as this.
