i'm writing my master thesis using lyx and i have a small problems
i already found how to change table name to polish tablica, but what i still
don't know is how to change fontsize of caption. e.g. i have a table with
caption:

i have a figure that is rather large, and the details are hard to see. if i
could get the figure split so that the caption goes on the following page, i
could enlarge the figure and all would be good.i have seen that done in many
scientific journals. how is that done?

I added some stuff to the preamble to make my figure captions italic, and smaller. I
noticed however that the Fig. is still normal, then the number of the figure and the
caption itself are italic. I think either it should be all italic, Unless this is the
convention?

In Version 1.1.6 I used minipages to put the figure captions beside the
figure. It was simple and worked nice !
