I decided to import tex-refcard.tex which is set at \columnsperpage=1
This worked but produced 9 pages. So I tried to change the setting to 3
"% This file can be printed with 1, 2, or 3 columns per page (see below).
% Specify how many you want here. Nothing else needs to be changed."
And Lyx produced empty output? Some of the other *refcards.tex
sometimes give an error message of "Unknow token: \noindent" but I
don't know if that is related to the how many columns LyX works with.
Nothing urgent about this question as I already found a 3 column pdf file.
