Sorry about the spam, but I figured out how to get simple trees from qtree working (I much prefer it to xytree, but I thought only that might work because of the xy library or something) Try a tree like this: \xymatrix{\text{\Tree[.S [.N This ] [.V is ] [.NP [.Det a ] [.N test ] ] ] } }
