I have helped an author (not a geek but rather an everage office user)
to use Lyx for writing her book (in french) and the feedback I got is
very positive (this should not come as a surprise, but I thought it
was still worth sharing). She is using the memoir class, and the latex
preamble
Definitely a happy camper. The point about the change from A4 to A5 with
everthing else intact was interesting.
