Redefining my DELETE or BACKSPACE key

Hello lyx users. I'm relatively new to using lyx, and there is one nagging thing that hinders the fluidity with which I type out my text. Both the BACKSPACE and the DELETE keys don't act in the way I'm used to; that is, when the cursor is placed just *after* the text I wish to delete, I expect
