I thought I read in the documentation that newer versions of LyX (I'm using Lyx-1.2.1) recognized the -geometry command-line argument and the Lyx*geometry entry in ./.Xdefaults. Mine seems not to, unless I've gotten the syntax wrong. When I put Lyx*geometry: 720x900+283-15 in

Hi, since I upgraded to LyX 1.1.6fix1 (via rpm), LyX does not react on my ~.Xdefault setting. I had two lines telling LyX*width: 720 LyX*height:670 and with 1.1.5 this worked well. After looking in the man page, I changed this to LyX*geometry 720x670 but still no effect
