tex2lyx on files with UTF-8 encoding

I hava a problem importing UTF-8 latex files into LyX. When I import my files some characters are garbled: accents for the vowels and the ñ (I am writing some documents in spanish) Is this a bug I should report? Thanks in advance, -- Andrés
