Hi John, I use a 6v lantern battery in a plastic frame with a power switch and cable with the correct barrel connector on it.  I got it while I was living in Australia before I moved over to the USA do i don't know what the part number is.  I may have even got it at the local tandy store  :-)

Looking at the Technical Reference Manual, there is a reverse-polarity diode in series with the negative (center pin) of the jack. This provides basic reverse-polarity protection but will also cause a small voltage drop (typically 0.6-0.7 volts) between the DC input and the main power bus. If you f

You could make a short adapter to plug into the Model-T that reverses the polarity of the connector. My question is,"Is the output adequate?" Sent from Outlook Mobile On Fri, Nov 27, 2015 at 1:20 PM -0800, "John R. Hogerhuis" mailto:jho...@pobox.com>> wrote: On Fri, No

Yes, it's definitely worth re-iterating that Model 100 connector polarity is the opposite of most all power supplies you could buy off the shelf these days. The outside is positive, the inside negative. Having applied a pack with a cable the wrong way round (guessing rather than reading the manual!

I think I found the answer to my question on the barrel connector : "5.5 mm O.D. x 2.1 mm I.D., or size M coaxial (barrel type) DC power" I found USB->Barrel connector that have these specs except that they are positive center power pin instead of negative. So either I have to modify the cable sl

The juice packs should put out 5V, the same as you'd get from 4 rechargeable batteries, so it should just be a matter of making a cable with USB on one end and the right size coax power on the other. Alkaline AA battery capacity ranges from 1800-2600 mAH, so for a 2200 mAh juice pack I'd expect

John, I was looking at the Pi Zero and figuring that having that and an FTDI adapter would get you something you could possibly run your tools on and have a full TPDD plus other tools in a small space that would be a "bump" on the end of a m102 or m100 (or 200 in my case). I'm probably going to g
